Siang pergi malam kerja
Aku kata guru itu mudah
Siang bergaji malam bahagia
Pagi tak pernah rugi
Malam tidurpun selesa

Orang kata guru itu penat
Gaji tak seberapa kerja berlambak
Aku kata guru itu rehat
Mengajar tak seberapa tapi penuh berkat
Kerja sekerat-sekerat pahala penuh sendat
Ilmu yang dicurah tak dapat disekat
Makin dicurah makin mendekat

Orang kata guru itu sungguh bosan
Setiap tahun muka sama setiap bulan
Aku kata guru itu singguh riang
Sekali berkata murid ketawa girang
Bila berjaya murid terus menjulang
Jasa bakti tak pernah hilang

Dihumban ke dalam hutan seperti tiada penghuni
Lebih-lebih lagi Ulu Banat tak bertepi
Aku kata guru itu "happy"
Jasa bakti dipercayai
Masuk kedalam hutan untuk berbakti
Pada bangsa anak pertiwi
Agak kelak menabur bakti
Setelah keluar dari IPT

Orang kata guru itu susah
Orang berkereta mewah berbatunya rumah
Masih meminta agar dipindah, tak pernah kena
Aku kata guru itu senang
Kereta tak ada tak bayar hutang
Rumah sederhana berhati tenang
Tidur lena pencuri tak datang
Tak dapat pindah bukan penghalang
Menerus hidup seorang pejuang

Orang kata apa boleh dikata
Kalau hati sudah dimahkota
Janji guru janji dikota
Aku berkata itulah guru sungguh bertakhta
Jangan takut bila dikata
Janji kita harus dikota
Luput tidak diingat dikata.
